The wedding invitations were quite a process... I knew I wanted something a bit different, still in line with my theme and style, consistent with my Save-the-Dates. Thanks to creative collaboration, photo sharing and tweaking with my wedding designer, viola, the "box" invites were born.
A part of them hailed from China (a silk black three panel folder), a part of them in San Diego (printed ivory shimmery cards) and were finished off with a lux silver bow. The silk folder was then placed in a custom box, sprinkled with a pinch of sparkles (duh), and then sealed with silver packing tape. These puppies took all weekend long to assemble, and despite some hiccups and added errands, me, my mom and bow-tying-expert-sister team completed the mammoth project with flying colors.
For brides to be, I love this link from The Knot all about wedding invitation tips - very helpful and a great starting guide.
